ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position Summary:
IT Specialist in DCA Airport is responsible for delivering the OTG guest experience working directly with the Information Technology team and the Operations, the IT Specialist ii is responsible for the day-to-day support, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT equipment and software.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide day to day support and on-call duties for software related systems
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of on-site equipment such as iPads, Mac Minis, Windows Computers and Micros
  • Update software applications
  • Installation and deployment of hardware and new technologies
  • Implement mission-critical systems to enhance field level operations
  • Ensure systems satisfy operational requirements
  • Recommend ways to extend the applications to maximize the business and technological return on investment.
  • Actively stay current on emerging technologies and issues in support of business efforts. Stay abreast of significant technological developments that may impact the business
  • Ensure effective use and operational oversight of field level systems
  • Day to day tasks assigned based on business needs
  • Develop, test, implement and oversee IT systems, programs and audit processes
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement within an organization's IT infrastructure.
  • Review and audit existing IT systems and internal processes
  • Develop quality assurance procedures and tests for the development and improvement of new and existing systems
  • Identify, analyze and document discrepancies and ensure that appropriate adjustments are made within the IT systems, security systems and user access
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on computer systems
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
  • Certificate or Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Direct work experience in a similar role
  • Familiar with network operating systems
  • Knowledge of current application and system technologies – Apple, Micros, Windows Server
  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Analytic ability, troubleshooting and help desk support
  • Experience with hospitality systems, considered an asset
  • Experience working both independently and, in a team, -
  • oriented, collaborative
  • environment is essential
  • Can conform to and flexible with shifting priorities, demands and timelines using
  • analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task a must
  • Work independently and alone during a shift
  • Manage the work and priorities on shift in a supervisory capacity
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies
